Teaching Hands on Inquiry Nurtures Knowledge
In order to keep up with the evolving ways that the world is changing, our students must be prepared to bring knowledge and skills to solve problems, make sense of information, and know how to gather and evaluate evidence to make decisions. These are the skills that students develop in science, technology, engineering and math—disciplines collectively known as STEM.
In the T.H.IN.K. Tank, students in kindergarten through fifth grade have opportunities to problem solve given a set of parameters using their knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students apply acquired STEM skills to engage in coding, robotics, and creative design projects using various materials.
