My name is Paul Garcia and I am a Special Education teacher. I was born and raised in Carteret and actually went to Kindergarten at Minue School. I have been teaching here in Carteret for 26 years. My education includes a bachelor's degree in history from St. Louis University, teaching certification program at Kean University, and a Masters in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. My interests, outside of teaching and learning, include music: I play the piano, guitar, and I like to sing; playing games, especially board games; drawing and reading. I love teaching and learning new things. I am very excited about working with young children and helping them to discover and learn about their world. I also know that I have much to learn from my students and every year each new class offers me an opportunity to learn and grow as an educator and a person.
