All about me:

I studied early childhood education at Kean University. I have taught Pre-k and First grade for the last five years. I am also the mother of an adorable 2 1/2 year old boy. During my free time I love to spend time with my family enjoying outside fun! I also love crafts and creating invitations/ paper crafts for my friends and family!

I am excited to  start my first year here at Carteret, and to go on this incredible journey with your children! Teaching kindergarten is a job I take very seriously. In kindergarten we lay the foundations for children's academic future. Not only are we teaching students to read and how to count, but we are also teaching them about themselves and focus on their social - emotional growth. My goal is to create a space where my students can thrive academically and socially. To accomplish this my classroom will always be a space where my students feel safe, loved, and happy! I can not accomplish this alone! I will need the help from all my families ( you). Through open communication we can be the best team to help support your child through their kindergarten journey.

Needless to say, this year your child's experience in school may look very different than what we are used to. Our focus at Columbus School will be on both your children's academic and social-emotional growth. It is my goal to create a learning environment that is warm, safe, and educational in both a virtual setting and in a classroom setting.

There will be many fun and exciting things happening this year, make sure to check in with our Google classroom for any updates! If at any time you have questions or concerns do not hesitate to reach out to me! Our open parent- teacher communication will help make this year great, and help your child thrive in school!

I am excited for an exciting year!!
