Ms. Connolly

Welcome to Ms. Connolly's nurse page! I have been a Registered Nurse for 36 years.  I recieved my Bachelors of Science Degree, with a minor in Psycology, from The College of New Jersey.  I began my career at St. Elizabeth Hospital (now Trinitas Hospital) in Elizabeth.  I worked on a medical/surgical unit, in the Emergency Department and on an Oncology unit before I became a Certified Gastrointestinal Clinician.  As a clinician, I became the nurse manager of the Endoscopy Department, Outpatient Procedure Department and the Outpatient Oncology Unit.  I was also the Laser Safery Officer monitoring the credentialling and use of all the lasers in the hospital. I completed my tenure at Trinitas as the PerformanceImprovemnent Coordinator for all the nursing units in the facility.

As much as I loved my time in acute care, I decided to obtain my School Nursing Certification from New Jersey City University in 2000 and began working for the Carteret Public School District.  I have worked in several schools in the district including Columbus, Nathan Hale and now Carteret Middle School.  I am also a Nurse Coordinator in the district. I help coordinate activities and assist nurses in other buildings when needed. I am the Varsity Girls Tennis Coach, the time keeper for the CMS basketball and wrestling teams and an assistant trainer when needed.  In 2019 I was honored with a position on the New Jersey State Interscholactic Athletic Association Medical Advisory Commmittee.  The committee sets the standard of care for all student athletes in New Jersey.
